Successfully scaled by local mountaineers of Ladakh Mountain Guides Association (LMGA) since 2019, the UT Kangri Ladakh peak stands at an impressive 6,070 meters, offering breathtaking views of the Markha Valley and the eastern Karakoram ranges.

Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival in Leh

Arrive in Leh and spend a full day resting at the hotel. In the afternoon, explore the Leh market before returning to the hotel.
Overnight stay at Leh.

Day 2:
Shanti Stupa Hike

After breakfast, embark on a hike to Shanti Stupa, soaking in the panoramic views, and return to the hotel.
Overnight stay at hotel in Leh.

Day 3:
Rumtse-Phu Exploration

Drive to Rumtse village via Leh-Manali Highway. Trek to Rumtse-Phu, experiencing wildlife and nomadic shepherd life.
Stay at Night at Camp Phu.

Day 4:
Trek to Base Camp

Trek towards the base camp at 5,300 meters, passing through the Shakrok-doksa pastureland and practicing rope techniques.

Stay: Base Camp overnight at 5,300m

Day 5:
Rest Day and Training

Rest and training day, focusing on mountaineering equipment introduction, climbing techniques, and acclimatization walks.

Day 6:
Summit Day

Start the climb early morning from Base Camp to the summit at 6,070 meters. Negotiating through diverse terrains and enjoy the stunning views.

Day 7:
Descend to Rumtse Phu and Leh

Packup the camp early morning, start the descend to Rumtse Phu, and drive back to Leh.

Stay: Overnight at Leh

Day 8:
Airport Drop

Bid farewell to Ladakh with an airport drop.

  • -Three nights in the hotel with breakfast and dinner.
  • -Airport pick-up, drop-off, and transportation in a cab from Leh to Rumtse and back.
  • -Meals during the five-day expedition.
  • -Camping equipment including tents, sleeping bags, and mattresses.
  • -First-aid with oxygen cylinder throughout the trek.
  • -Climbing equipment (Snow boots, crampons, harness, helmets, carabiners, and rope).
  • -Horses for carrying loads.
